Bitchslicer Reviews

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Why is Bitchslicer amazing? Because while other bands in the grindcore scene are fighting to maintain suggestive bullshit cliches, Bitchslicer is working to assume their own identity and merely playing some fucking metal. Grindcore merely becomes an expression of the band's style of playing and of their chosen path of musicianship and talents. It is bands like Bitchslicer, Total Fucking Destruction, and Cephalectomy that are bringing some unique character and imagery back into the grindcore scene. Long after bands like Napalm Death, Nasum, and Agathocles have reached their prime, Bitchslicer is tearing is up and seem to definitely have something to prove with this, their latest offering on World Eater Records, III -- Lycanthropic Fellatio.

While its obvious that I do not appreciate the anti-lycanthrope sentiments (kidding guys...), this is yet another great Worldeater release. It seems that a label with nothing to lose (due to their decision to stay non-profit) would suffer by choosing acts that wouldn't mind being on a label such as theirs, but in all honesty I have not heard so much great music come out of their section of Pennsylvania in all of the years that I have been a metalhead. It was surprising to me to hear of Bitchslicer's popularity after receiving this album. Two of my friends had actually been following the band long before I'd ever even heard the name, and while they may not be fans of the band, it showed me that Bitchslicer has at least been making waves in the underground. This release in particular is a fantastic work of Grindcore. And even with all of the grindcore labels, I cannot really point out and say that this album is purely grindcore. Most of it is actually a slower styled thrash metal.

The best thing about this album is really the solos that are incorporated into the music by thrash metal meistro King Gary. The reason being not just the traditional thrash metal style mixed with immense talent, but also the way that he incorporates them into the songs in odd places. The production on the album also matches the classic production found on most Worldeater Records releases. I'm not sure if all bands through this label record in the same place or not, but they all have a strangely lo-fi sound that somehow mixes incredibly well with every band that plays through it. Actually...the best thing about this album is the 17th track, Bitchslicer vs. The Police. I fucking love industrial, so its always a treat for me to hear a metal band incorporate industrial elements into their music even if only for a song. Confused on my meaning? Buy the goddamn album and find out. This was another great one from the vaults of Worldeater Records!

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Here is yet another excellent disc on Worldeater Records, this time from Bitchslicer who like all bands on the Worldeater roster is completely different than all of their peers that they share a label with.

I came in contact with these guys before on one of the Worldeater compilation discs and was impressed by their unorthodox mixture of thrash, death and punk. I remember the first time I heard their name I was expecting some straight-up gore/grind but they pulled a total 180 with their sound.

This record has the overall length and structure of a grind album but the short, concise tracks are packed with raging thrash/death that is not what you’d be expecting at all if you had little idea of what the band is about. They pull it off as a trio, so a big wall of sound coming from a small amount of guys is the order of the day and damn do they do it right!

“Death of the Green Skull” is an acoustic opener that kicks off nicely into its thrash-laden companion “Curse of the Green Skull” that is chockfull of galloping metal riffs, hammering drums and angry growled/shouted vocal trade-offs that accomplish a lot in just a meager one minute running time.

The short instrumental “Frakenstoned” begins with a classic thrash metal chord progression that rides atop leaden bass groove and heavy beats. Guitarist/vocalist King Gary (he also produced this record and many other Worldeater releases) nails a sweet little solo and then we are taken on a journey into the battle-hardened metal of “Night of the Demons” that reeks of vintage and violent thrash with riffs that bleed metal from every visible orifice.

The hilarious and unhinged title track couples gore/grind lyrics about getting head from a female werewolf as blazing, balls out riffs will tear you apart limb from limb without a moment of hesitation.

The battering, mostly instrumental “Sabertooth” flows nicely with a blackened, and staggering build up that eschews speed for some darker, slower riffs that eventually give way to thrash and anguished vocals much later in its 3:27 running time. This is by far the longest track on the album and it features a killer solo that will have all air shredders tearing it up in all of their glory.

“SK8 or Die” is probably my favorite track on the album as it is too unbelievably anthemic to ever get out of your head. Here the band couple their death/thrash with a very Municipal Waste type approach by delivering balls out, punked-up grooves and an unbeatable “gang” chorus.

The rest of the record peters off a bit at times but still delivers some killer tracks. You get a literal mixed bag that includes a fantastic instrumental (“Snuffed II”), ridiculous power-violence length songs (“Legalize Bestiality Now”, “Dripping Creampie Kittens”), industrial strength blast-beating (“Bitchslicer vs. the Police”), some cool, out of left-field covers (GG Allin and Willie Nelson) and a closing, 46 minute drone/static piece (“Legends of the Green Skull”) which helps end this disc on anything but a normal note. In fact the entire last half of this record is all over the place, often-times showcasing Bitchslicer’s sarcastic sense of humor.

While I could give or take on a few of the album’s second half experiments I’m pretty much all for what Bitchslicer has to offer. There are plenty of ass-kicking moments to return to here and any fans looking for an off-kilter take on death/thrash madness would do well to pick up this new one by Bitchslicer. They’ve got lots of older material out there too, so I’m going to have to try and go back in time and check some of that out too. Good stuff!

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Porn/ Horror theme...its in there, thrashing good time...its in there, Evil looking mascott...its in there, songs about the mascott...in thre, G. G. Allin cover tune...its in there, mandatory song about sk8ing or dying...you guessed it...its in there. With a recepie for a package deal like this, how could you go wrong? You can't. There is just too much fun involved with this band and this recording. I mean, the cover features "the Green Skull (The theme for this recording) being serviced orally by a werewolf. From there on, its just a free-for-all of campy creativity and pit-worthy chaos. The singer has a pretty "regular guy" kind of voice, easy to understand, and totally within the range of anyone who wants to shout along. He pulls double duty with vocals and guitar, which are the two major features of the band. This guy makes up for any vocal normality with a slammin ability on the strings. I don't want to downplay the bass or drums any, but this music is written for guitar! There are long stretches without words, and you don't miss em much. The solos are red hot and harder tahn skull. I've heard Bitchslicer before on samplers and compilations, but I never realized that I liked them so much. Either you need a whole album to really get into their groove, or this is just the best damn thing they have ever done.

Bitchslicer :: Live Review (07-28-07 @ Victoria's Basement in West Philly)

I just want to say Bitchslicer is probably one of the most underrated bands in the tristate area and definitely the most underrated thrash band out of philadelphia. Totally cool dudes with some awesome and tight fucking song writing who get passed over because of their non pc band and song names. www.myspace.com/bitchslicer666 for the non initiated. I think they are playing tritone on july31st and we are playing in West Philly with them august 25th I just watched them once again last nite and they blew my mind once again which is the reason for this post.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Wow, these guys have been spending a little too much time playing violent video games and watching porn.
Okay, with that said let me comment on this thing: I’m not sure why this ended up in my pile of discs to review because according to the liner notes, it was recorded over two years ago. There’s no copyright date on it, so maybe they just got around to releasing it? It’s another solid offering from Worldeater Records, a label I have much respect for because of their do-it-yourself attitude. They have their own studio, manufacture their own cds, and have a stable of Philly bands that operates as a kind of co-op.

Bitchslicer is my favorite band on this label. Singer/guitarist King Gary records all the band’s material and plays with a style that I’ve watched live many times but still can’t figure out what the hell he’s doing. You’ve never seen a guy pack so many notes into one song. Musically, it’s very much metal, but not the “cookie monster” metal that’s so popular right now. This offering will be more appreciated by those of us who still listen to and prefer bands from the 80s like Slayer and Voivod. With song titles like “Necroanalingus” and “Legalize Beastiality Now,” their lyrical content falls under a category I often refer to as “gratuitously irreverent.” What I mean is that they are trying their best to offend, and I have to admit that at my age it can be a little boorish. No matter, though---if you’re not easily offended, you’ll enjoy this great metal album. They even throw in covers by GG Allin and Willie Nelson.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Though some would beg to differ, I find grind to be the weakest of all metal genres. The grind scene clearly reached its peak with a collection of great acts like Napalm Death and Brujeria, but it has slowly fallen into an abyss of sub-par artists performing the same thing with minimal variety or identity when more groups of this genre began to sprout up. There is, however, the occasional band that brings some light back to this vague scene, like Pennsylvania's Bitchslicer. What makes Bitchslicer so different in comparison to other grind acts? Well, Bitchslicer circles around total thrash worship, but they manage to stay inside their fence of grind while doing so. In a sea of trivial grind bands, Bitchslicer stands out as a special group that applies different techniques to the genre without sounding cliche or obsolete, and this observation is showcased in "Lycanthropic Fellatio".

Those expecting a normal show of blastbeats and mediocre riffs will be surprised with Bitchslicer's surprisingly thrashy style. King Gary's shredding show has many similarities with several known thrash groups due to the familiar heavy atmosphere and relentless speed. The wide variation of unique riffs is definitely one of the highlights here because the huge musical field allows more flexibility with different sounding material that's typically used in every song. Gary's solos are also in the vein of many classic thrash bands, yet they appear at certain unexpected intervals and sound fantastic. The production is strange to state the obvious, but it makes some items sound better. The bass drum benefits from the bizarre production job because it sounds poppy and loud; it may sound weird, but the percussion benefits from this nevertheless.

Though thrash influence is the primary weapon here, Bitchslicer experiments with some different musical elements throughout this disc. Some of the songs step out of Bitchslicer's range, like the melodic "Night of the Demons" or the industrial-laden "Bitchslicer vs. The Police," which is a bizarre combination of samples and pulverizing thrash riffs. The hilarious acoustic "Gimme Some Head" and a cool remake of Willie Nelson's "Mommas" also diverts the direction of this CD in many pleasurable ways.

With "Lycanthropic Fellatio," Bitchslicer puts on a creative presentation of grind that displays strong individualism without leaving the roots of their main genre. I didn't think ""Lycanthropic Fellatio" would contain much quality, but I sorely mistaken; this album rocks. Be sure to check these guys out.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Dion’s Review – From the acoustic intro of the first track “Death Of The Green Skull” to the final track “Legends Of The Green Skull” (although the real final track is “Mommas”), all I could think was “What the fuck? I’ve never heard of these guys, but do they even know who they are?”

Bitchslicer III has everything… not so much on the production side (for one, the kick-drum sounds like slapping on the forehead of the hollowed out noggin of a zombie’s most recent meal), but this porn/horror/thrash influenced outfit have a large array of methods to confound and discombobulate the unwary. There are the thrash anthems of songs like “Sk8 Or Die” and “Night Of The Demons”. Or there are the ten second grind flurries of “Necroanalingus” and “Legalize Bestiality Now”. And then there are the profoundly confusing inclusions of the acoustic ballad of “Gimme Some Head”, or the industrial technogrind “Bitchslicer Vs. The Police (W/ Cranial Rectosis)”. The title still makes me smile.

Despite sitting through the entirety of the album scratching my melon and asking “Did I miss a bloody meeting?” I actually enjoyed it. The vast majority of songs are under two minutes, so if you don’t like a song, then don’t fret. It’ll be over soon enough, and you can let Bitchslicer drag you by your lobes into their next wild escapade. These lads are planning to release Bitchslicer IV “Sex With Sharks” this summer, and are planning to tour up and down the east coast.

The final track, by the way, is nearly forty-seven minutes of muffled, distorted droning that is quiet enough to ignore, but would probably get you kicked in the uglies if you put the album on shuffle at a party. http://www.bitchslicer.com , http://www.myspace.com/bitchslicer666 , http://www.worldeaterrecords.com

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

Ah, Bitchslicer. Easily one of the most disturbingly funny bands I've ever encountered, as well as one of the few talented modern purveyors of groove/thrash that offer more than mindless Pantera worship. Their debut Cum Inside, a collection of tracks recorded over several months with various lineups, offers a varied glimpse into the band's inherent twistedness that the average listener won't soon forget.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. If that's so, then the cover of this album certainly brings to mind more than a few synonyms for "explicit." A lighthearted display of gore and pornography over a light pink background wallpapered with hearts and kittens (plus plastic hearts in the jewel case) should give the potential consumer quite an idea of the content they're about to be subjected to. Hell, the band's website even has its own porn. That said, the lyrical content on this release should be quite familiar to fans of 90's death metal: entrails, cunts, and bears, oh my. Sure they don't take it too seriously, but a frightening uncertainty is driven home by the fact that this isn't death metal; therefore, the vocal delivery allows those lyrics to be pretty damn discernable. For those wondering, that vocal delivery is generally your typical thrash shout-singing, though a little hoarser and Phil Anselmo-ish, with occasional spots of clean singing. Vocalist King Gary isn't going to be getting a Grammy anytime soon, but his voice suits this perfectly.

So on to the music. This is thrash metal, but it's in the style of 90's thrash ie. mostly buried in mid-to-slow tempo riffing and featuring plenty of down-tuned groove. But it's not unlistenable, a conclusion one would be quick to jump to. The songs are quick (1:30 - 3:30) and nasty, utilizing lots of simple yet effective riffing. Most of the songs are pretty heavy and I dare say catchy, with occasional spurts of lead wankery. Due to the brevity of the tracks, the quality of riffs, and the humor in the band's bastardly lyrics, I like this a hell of a lot more than most groove-thrash.

Problems? Inconsistency. Since the album is basically composed from a bunch of different recording sessions, there's no sense of constancy throughout the album. The album flow is odd, mixing up the band's standard sound (the meh-tul) with some odd tracks (a Hank Williams cover, a few out-of-place acoustic songs, a drunken answering machine message, and a pair of instrumental versions of earlier songs). There's also an inconsistency in sound, with some of the mixing worse as the tracks go by (listen to the drums, you'll hear it). And of course, I really wish there were more fast thrashy songs on here, but otherwise, these are but a few flaws on an otherwise unique and engaging album.

So this isn't true thrash, nor is it true death, nor is it true groove. But what it is is a fine perversion of all three that should most certainly be experienced if encountered. Love it or hate it, you won't soon forget it.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

bitchslicer's lycanthropic fellatio is basically thrash. Okay, let me take that back. Bitchslicer's latest cd is not really just thrash but thrash music for pornsicko's who have knacks for B-Comics, skateboarding, and b-horror films.

If you've grown tired of listening to Sodom, Slayer, Kreator and some of super 80's thrash bands's prototype style and had your Hirax cd's sold already for your excuse to pay bills, well, Bitchslicer's latest offer is for you to check out!

Lycanthropic Fellatio, 21 tracks of good humor filled music generates enough simple yet catchy thrash melodies guaranteed to arouse your attention of their funny and comic wit. - even chixx will dig this stuff! ha ha!!

The cd introduces characters like the greenskull, the sabretooth and some of the band's influences like girls , metal, horror films and some tributes to GG Allin and Willie Nelson. I wonder if these guys had already seen the 80's filipino horror movie "shake rattle and roll"..

this is their third installment with a cover art by Momoussa so this can't be missed...

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Your favorite and mine, Bitchslicer, has chunked out another hot piece of molten steel for the world to choke on. If my counting is correct, the new record, Lycanthropic Fellatio, is the third installment of the Bitchslicer discography and just like those that came before, it's mischievous, loud and fucking nasty! The cover of the disc features a character called the Green Skull receiving oral pleasures from a Werewolf. While it looks pleasing, I'd be really worried about those incisors. (HAHA!)

To my knowledge, Lycanthropic Fellatio is supposed to be a concept record based on the Green Skull, who was sent here to lower the world's standards and begin the undoing of the boring civilization we know today. I can't really follow along with the storyline, I'm too busy bouncing off the fucking walls to the tunes "Night Of The Demons", "Sabertooth" and "Sk8 Or Die". These tracks and a good bit of the others are drenched in the blood of Thrash Masters who once reigned supreme. I speak directly of Laaz Rockit, Exodus, Overkill and D.R.I. Fuck yeah, that's enough to make any true fan of Metal stop and take a listen. King Gary's vocals are stronger than ever as is his axe grinding, his riffs on this album are untouchable.

Never the one to disappoint, King Gary and his merry band of mercenaries also throw a few cover tunes on this record - "Gimme Some Head" from GG Allin and "Mommas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" from Willie Nelson. Each of these songs were already pillars in my musical rearing, now I'm really fucked. On one hand I have the soft acoustic sounds of a man telling a girl to give him some head, on the other I have a thrashed out version of one of the most popular country songs of the eighties. My life will never be the same again and I'm better for it! Thank you Bitchslicer, you've made my day. Now everyone go and buy this cd already!

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Hailing from the west coast town of Philadelphia, USA, Bitchslicer are an energetic thrash metal band that have been together in various forms since May 2001. Presently three members strong with what has been called ’their most solid line-up to date’, their full metal onslaught has a raw, uncompromising quality.

Three albums in and the current release, ‘Lycanthropic Fellatio’ is a vibrant mix of metal styles, mixing elements of death metal with more accessible thrash and metalcore.

At first it’s hard to know what to think of this album. Twenty-one tracks long and the majority of these are abrupt snippets of brutal metal rather than fully fledged songs. In fact if you didn’t pay attention to the track listing it would be easy to think you were listening to five or six song EP, as the shorter cuts flow together seamlessly.

The opening cut, ‘Death of the Green Skull’ greets you with an intro that has all the calling cards of acoustic Iced Earth. It’s good, if brief, and is a deceivingly peaceful, pleasant number. Onto track two and the Death metal onslaught begins. It’s a little disappointing on the surface, a brief assault of unhinged rhythms. But give it a minute, and its suddenly better. And that’s the beauty of this album; look beyond the opening few songs and you’ll find a heavy-as-fuck album that actually isn’t too bad.

‘Frankenstoned’, the fourth track on this atypical album, is when it really starts to get good. Granted it is still only a short piece at twenty-four seconds long, but the rhythms seem more connected, and it’s the point where the aforementioned metal styles come together and create something you’d really want to listen to. It feels like a promising opening to an album that’s about to get started. And this intro leads us into the first full length track; ‘Night of the Demons’, which turns out to be the highlight of the album. Think current Dragonforce material, meets old-school Metallica, and a heavy Slayer influence combining to create impressive thrash rhythms, with death metal vocals & a slight injection of battle metal soul. It may sound like an over-induced combination but for Bitchslicer, it’s really worked.

Other standout tracks present include ‘Sabertooth’ and ‘Snuffed’. A surprise acoustic moment demonstrates the extent of frontman King Gary’s vocal talents- It’s just a shame the clean emotive vocals aren’t matched with suitable lyrics. The only real downfall is the dedication to the albums main influences – horror, porn and whisky; a thirty-three second track that’s musically akin to the less favourable opening cuts.

‘Lycanthropic Fellatio’ isn’t the best album of the year but it isn’t the worst either. Alright, there were moments when Id rather be listening to something else, but the impressive standout tracks make the whole album worthwhile. Love it or hate it, its worth five minutes of anyone’s listening time.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

When I first started getting into this band I wasn't sure what to make of them. I like them but with song titles like "Legalize Beastiality Now" and "Dripping Creampie Kittens" I wasn't sure that I should take them seriously or not.

This is a great release. If you can imagine, really immoral pornography with some real good thrash metal then you might get some idea what this band is like. There seem to be a lot of 80's thrash influences with their sound but, for some reason, not in a dated way. I really like a good power trio and thats what this is. Really good heavy guitar/vocals. Bass and drum that play well together but don't over play. I have always been fond of trios and probably always will be.

Some of the great songs here are "Frankenstoned" "Metal Mania" and "Bitchslicer VS. the Police." This disc has very few filler tracks or bad songs but These most certainly stand out to me. "Black Echo" is another gem but it's only a little guitar solo that's less than 2 minutes. There is a Willie Nelson song on here that Bitchslicer completely devour! Mommas done in true metal fashion. It makes me break a sweat! Audio gold!

While this is a very good release from another Philly band, there are some drawbacks. What band needs to have another hidden song. The last song on this is around 45 minutes and there just isn't any reason for it. Another thing that I am just not fond if is GG Allen. They do one of his songs and while they make it their own, GG Allen really isn't worth paying any form of respect to or any royalties either.

All in all, this is a very good release from another quality band from Pennsylvania. Good thrash metal done right will always put a smile on my face. That's exactly what this is, good thrash metal!

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

Is it Thrash? Is it Death/Grind? Is it Punk? What the fuck… Is it Thrash/Punk/Death/Grind? Who the fuck cares what genre it is cause its Bitchslicer!!!! Yup pill popping degenerates and methadone scum of every gruesome shape and size will love ‘Lycanthropic Fellatio’ cause this recording is perfect for sore picking and cunt humping. Lest you clean folk fell left out of the fray; don’t fret cause you don’t have to be a junkie to love Bitchslicer. The only requirement is that you’re twisted.

All right, now that I am more geeked up than Barry Bonds after a towel biting injection I’ll tell you about Bitchslicer. ‘Lycanthropic Fellatio’ has a grit under your fingernails garage vibe, and all the songs seem like they were composed while consuming several bottles of Guinness or tequila. The guitars shred in heavy speed riffs strummed quick enough to crumble a pick. Lead breaks are hammering with solos that squeal like a cop/pig getting his knees drilled. Adding to the dementia are animalistic vocals that cross between screeching shouts, sandpaper rubbed against tonsils gargles, and group shouts. The drums area played effectively in quick complimentary patterns, and the double bass has an energetic popping sound to it reminding me of beef-n-chili farts on a vinyl-covered sofa. The bass provides a nice side of pork for both the drums and guitars as it hurtles through tracks in lower end revelry.

Musically the overall impression I get from Bitchslicer is that they are all about fun. Most of ‘Lycanthropic Fellatio’ is traditional Thrash, but with double bass as oppossed to the predominant single kick drum of the early to mid 80’s. Songs are infused with elements of Rigor Mortis spun into a slightly Frightmare horror ambiance. Other minor influences I hear are from The Misfits, and “Sabertooth” would make the Dead Kennedy’s smile. Anyway, I hate doing band comparisons cause its tremendously hit or miss. Freaks with a fondness for skanks, porn, slasher flicks, and werewolf blowjobs should be lining up to buy this extremely worthy album for a CD collection begging for more maddening Thrashing gore.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

I was stunned when I saw the cover artwork of this CD…a female lycanthropy performing an oral sex with a monster who looks a lot like Skeletor. I mean, that would really hurt right? Imagine a she-wolf giving you a head. 3rd full length album from this 3 piece horror / porn themed thrash metal band from Philadelphia, PA. Every song is filled with ripping guitar shreds / solos, ferocious drum beats and frantic vocal style. Aggressive songs about Green Skull (the monster who looks like Skeletor), demons, scarecrows, skateboarding, and werewolves. They even did their own rendition of GG Allin’s “Gimme Some Head” and Willie Nelson’s “Mommas”. Although some of Bitchslicer’s songs are horror / porn inspired, I still don’t like the idea of singing about Beastiality (Lagalize Beastiality Now / Dripping Creampie Kittens), the upcoming album is even entitled “Sex with Sharks”. If you’re into mid 80’s to early 90’s thrash metal, then you better check this out.

Bitchslicer :: III - Lycanthropic Fellatio

BITCHSLICER is a 3 piece thrash metal band from Philadelphia with a horror and porn themed. Don't be mistaken for you all guys but thrash metal of BITCHSLICER is quite not a cup of my tea, cup of my coffee, a cup of my soda, or neither not a cup of my beer. Ha! Well, I guess you know already what I mean. But to be fair for this band of course BITCHSLICER deserves to have a good review. I'm not asshole brainless nonsense reviewer out there but of course if you like the band you praise it and if you review the band they deserves it. Well "Lycanthropic Fellatio" album is their third one and BITCHSLICER play into catchy, lots thrashy riffs of guitars, tempos are mostly moderate, guitar solo and adlib, etc. the vocals play also into angry hardcore vocals with some screaming parts. And the guitar like I've said are more into thrashy riffs and the drums plays with some good catchy beats. The problem is I can't find the horror and porn theme here coz lyrics is missing on this album so I can't judge what kind of porn they are talking here. But the titles can find below and check it out and see the porn and horror theme. Also there one track that play in acoustic guitar like some acoustic folk song. Well, anyway just check it out this album direct to the band to judge what I'm talking about or order it thru the label Worldeater records. (J)

Bitchslicer :: ... one for the ladies

The nastiest of the nasties, Bitchslicer has gone and done the unthinkable in releasing an all acoustic mini cd entitled, One For The Ladies. Is it truly for the ladies, not necessarily it just doesn't have any of the profanity and obscenities that we've became accustomed to when dealing with Bitchslicer. Personally, I'm quite fond of the disc as I'm a big fan of King Gary's vocals as well as his lyrics.

One For The Ladies is seven tracks in length and features a plethora of emotions; ranging from love to agony. I'm hard-pressed to pick out a single track that stands out, as everything here is wonderful. "Danielle's Eyes" opens the EP and I have a hard time trying not to get too misty-eyed. King Gary reaches way down and rips at the heartstrings of any one person who's truly loved a woman. From here we travel through the murky darkness of "With Death Tonight" and then it lightens up with a bluesy rendition of "Blue Moon". Those of you who love Johnny Cash as much as I do will love King Gary's version of "Like A Soldier". Not much is different, it's the mood, the sound of KG's guitar and his voice that makes the difference. There are a few other tracks on here definitely worthy of your time including one or two instrumentals that'll chill you to the bone.

If you think you know Bitchslicer, think again, there's a whole lot more to this band than profanity and pornography. One Night For The Ladies is by far one of the cheapest and best cd's I've taken in as of late. Get it!

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

These guys are very entertaining. In my CD, I have little cut out of hearts. Not sure if it comes with all of the CD's or just mine, but it's a nice touch. These guys have a unique sound. Punk rock with a touch of death metal. Their lyric's are pretty amusing. The vocals remind me of Glen Danzing when he plays with the Misfits. Just the way he sings through out, it reminds me of this singer in Bitchslicer. They are fast, double bass keeping everything moving along nicely. Heavier than punk, but not as heavy as death metal.

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

The city of brotherly love has a most vile and evil beast that lurks through its streets. This beast, my friend, is a band called Bitchslicer! Although we know the band is signed to World Eater Records, not much else is known. For the second week in a row, we are in the dark. hahahaha! The disc we have today is entitled "Cum Inside", the cover is very amusing. It features three green, alien-lookin' Hermaphrodites having a three-way fuck/murder fest. After staring in awe at the cover, I was hysterically excited to see what Bitchslicer was about. Boys and girls, nothing could have prepared me for all of the Thrashin', slammin' and moshin' I was about to be engulfed in. "Cum Inside" is jammed packed with Oldschool Thrash/Punk/Metal tunes, in the vein of a few bands such as Anthrax (before they sucked), D.R.I., Prong and Metal Church. Indeed, I have taken a much needed strole down memory lane. To make my trip much more joyful, the band even does a punk version of a Hank Williams tune.

"Drag My Own Coffin To Hell" starts the madness off. Believe me when I say this song is a moshin' anthem that could have been released long ago. I don't know whether I wanna break something or go run my car into a brick wall. Seriously, everything about this song is just nasty, from the blazing guitar riffs to the insatiable leadbreak, from start to finish it's a killer. The next track to catch my attention is "Evil Awakening", yet another barnburner of ferocious Thrash Metal ecstasy. This time around, the drums and bass seem to be the driving force of the track. However, the leadbreak will please every guitar demon within twenty miles. One thing to be noted is that the majority of the songs on this album are under three minutes in length, this gives the album more of a Punk Rock feel. "Sodomancer" is another hymn crammed full of chunky speed riffs and thundering drum lines. Once again the leadbreak is fucking nuts! This time it reminds me of something that would have came directly off of one of the first Metal Church albums. Title track, "Cum Inside", is where the band loses me a little bit. The music isn't bad at all, in fact it's awesome, but the lyrics are a little too over the top for my tastes. As I mentioned earlier, the band does a Hank Williams track, the tune they cover is none other than "Your Cheatin' Heart". I was so very amused with this song that I had to listen to it at least three times before I went on to the next tune. The band tones down a good bit for this track but they still maintain that nasty Punk attitude and even scream out the word "Motherfucker"!

I have been very impressed with this band, as matter of fact, I have found myself jamming this disc more than others because the bulk of everything out at the current moment makes me sick! Besides, these guys are fucking sick musicians! If this album were to fall into the right hands, the band would be snatched up and signed faster than you can say shallow grave and this cd is only five bucks. You will not find music this fucking good for a better price anywhere! What are you waiting on, go buy the fucking cd and get your teeth kicked in!

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

From the almighty Worldeater Records, whose Hellblock 6 has become a regular wall-shaker here at Paniscus HQ, comes Bitchslicer with the coolest soundtrack to hell you’ll ever be privileged to hear. A full-length 19-track that combines multiple recording sessions and tacks on a few surprises, this is some pretty bitchin’ shit – the harshest of death metal conducted in an ‘80s heavy metal style. In fact it’s almost hair metal in some places, retrieved from the edge of cheese by a hot beef injection of the Misfits. “Drag My Own Coffin to Hell” contains one of the most elemental anthems in all of metal (“Die! Die! Die motherfucker, die!”), “King Cobra – Ode to Thrash” is an instantly classic instrumental that’s joined in status by “Touch of Death,” there are a couple of “Instrumental Movie Version” headbangers (“Snuffed” and “Evil Awakening,” both of which also appear on the album with awesome vocals intact), while “Outrun the Fire” and “Long Live the End” take a surprisingly favorable death-folk turn. Livened up with cartoon music, soundbytes, “This is Satan” (“Drunken Phone Call – Session”) and a Hank Williams tune (“Y.C.H.”), not to mention some great graphics, this is fucking brilliant all the way around.

Bitchslicer ::
2004 Promo

**** (4 out of 5 stars) This CD is divided in 2. The first 3 songs are demo recordings. The last 4 are from the Cum Inside demo. They are a very humorous band. The song Jesus is very heavy (and no, they aren't a Christian band). Then there is a cheesy "ballad" called "Jerkin' Off, Drinkin' Whisky, & Watchin' Porn". Most of the shit on here is very heavy, and I wouldn't mind seeing them play a show. They also have some really good riffs that thrash bands used to use back in the day, not to mention some good guitar solos.

Worldeater Records :: Genrecide

... Too Bad there's a Band called BITCHSLICER among their ranks ... come on, can we have just a little imagination thrown in with our attempts at offensive degrading nonesense ? just a little ? Bitchslicer ? Now that's just plain moronic ... but i digress ... and some thrash from our aforementioned heroes of idiocy, Bitchslicer, who are thankfully an instrumental band.

- Robert (Slug & Lettuce Zine)

Worldeater Records :: Genrecide

Decked out in camouflage and black ski-masks, Bitchslicer deliver an excellent thrash instrumental that balances dense riffs and screeching pinch-harmonic-laden solos. I want more. Or maybe I just like saying the name Bitchslicer over and over.

- Andrew Magilow (Splendid)

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

Bitchslicer has given me a new reason to live.

Bitchslicer :: Cum Inside

Bitchslicer plays METAL, real metal, not nu metal or crust metal or etc. etc. they wore Fri. 13th. "Jason" masks, and they ruled. Sherm was evidently drunk, but it was OK and didn't really lessen my enjoyment. In fact, it seemed kind of "right". I usually hate metal guitar solos, but I can honestly say that Bitchslicer manages to pull it off and make it work. The solos atually kicked my ass as much as the 'meat" of the songs. Wow.

"This is the enigma of metal. Behind the innocent mask of floating hearts and the comforting colors of pink and purple, there is a monster gestating."
