Decomposed :: Torn from the Womb
One look at the ÒTomb Of The MuilatedÓ style artwork on the cover and you
immediately know youÕre in for pulverising aural assault. Cannibal Corpse
is a fair reference point for Decomposed as they kick you in the gut with
their down tuned body bashing brutal death metal. The vocals are immensely
sickening, demonic and truly guttural, but extremely effective. The repetitive
jack hammering of the opener ÒUnholy PleasuresÓ, however, has a colossal surprise
as despite the brutality in the vein of Dying Fetus this band has an extra
twist which will send many death metal heads scurrying for the bog to be sick.
Decomposed have added almost power metal style guitar wankery to their bludgeoning
onslaught. At first I cringed, then I grimaced, then I suddenly realised this
actually bloody works. Whilst not in the class of say Bodom (yes I think theyÕre
a power metal band), Stratovarius or any other band in this genre their widdling
is sufficiently bold enough for it to fit the music without diluting the savagery.
ÒButcher The InnocentÓ bulldozes you with Malevolent Creation style riffage,
but more importantly itÕs goddamn catchy as fuck. The drum work is sickeningly
crushing as each bass drum thuds remorselessly, as it does throughout the
album. ÒDisemboweledÓ is a little close to Dying FetusÕ ÒKilling On AdrenalineÓ
album due to the similarity in the song structure and even the rhythm. Nonetheless
the song pounds forth and eventually gives way to fret board histrionics which
I have now definitely decided do work. You have to remember that this is a
very brutal piece of metal and makes the new Aborted album sound like some
snotty nosed metalcore shite. ÒDismembered and MolestedÓ as sick as the title
is, relentlessly stomps on your head and then giggles at your fate when the
ridiculously over the top solo belts in and then fades back to that crushingly
heavy drum sound. What I like about this more than anything else is the monstrously
heavy production, whilst not exceptionally clear it is downright violent.

Decomposed :: Torn from the Womb
Decomposed, formed in 1999 Philadelpia USA, Their first
album that they brought out was in 1999, a self titled album. When the years
past by and two more releases were recorded the guys of Decomposed started
to record this album "Torn from the Womb". Released by Worldeater records
that is also based in the same city Philadelpia USA. As i put this cd into
my player the first thing that came over me was a wall of brutality, no fucking
intro but absolute sickening and brutal deathmetal. Fast brutaldeath with
a lot of awesome mid-tempo deathmetal parts that break your neck into a hundered
pieces. The complete production is pretty heavy and tight only when they are
playing the singel guitar riffs and solo's it's sounds quite empty. So they
they didn't recorded a second guitar in the studio, that is no fucking prob
to me. Why? Well, just because this is the shit if your into the deathmetal!
The vocals are low and oldschool sounding that fits exellent with the aggressive
brutality what the others are playing on their instruments. Overall a good
and brutal disk from Decomposed, for the deathmetal freaks is this a must
and for the people who haven't heard them? Check out their myspace and listen
to some mp3 files of this damn good deathmetal band.

Decomposed :: Torn from the Womb
This one is hot as hell. Decomposed has all of the intensity
of the extreme death / grind thing, but they also have the flamboyant guitar
antics of a power metal band (or maybe one of the Euro-melodic death metal
things would be closer.) The singer roars and spews fourth some pretty sick
sounding bile. Here and there dual-vocals kick in to add to the demonic demure.
The band is heavy. They can rock a mid paced head-bang or a frenzied pit romp
at full speed. This isnÕt your typical Òcup your hands into the microphone
while practicing in the garageÓ band. These guys are professionals. You can
hear it in their sound. This CD bleeds metal.

Decomposed :: Torn from the Womb
Decrepit sick vocals from death metal meat-fuckers Decomposed. Phillys
brutal quartet brilliantly performs majestic guitar overtures with precise
movements and quick picking. Unbelievable! The cover artwork obviously will
turn some stomachs but lovers of true death metal wont be turned away.
And to think, some idiots at Roadrunner want to ban Cradle of Filths
album cover? Weak.
