On your site,
about us on your tour,
not very cool,
considering everything we had to say to you,
we said face to face.
The short nu metal flavor flav back up singer
MOSS.
How about meeting me and talking to me as a person before you pass judgment on me.
We never wrote or said anything bad about you,
we just accepted you as being different and moved on.
I guess i was giving you too much credit when I assumed you were mature enough to do the same.
this is my site,
www.myspace.com/dirtysouthmoss
take a look at me at least as a person before you judge me.
for the record I enjoyed your set,
Thats the beautiful thing about music,no matter how ignorant we are when we play it,the music is always able to rise above.
But what do I know i'm just a dumb southerner right?
fuck it i'm not to proud to admit what you wrote ......hurt.
There is no shame in being honest.
.... and Justin writes back.
Hey there,
I was sharing my honest opinion (about the music, not you as a person, though I guess I can see how you might see it that way), I didn't intend to hurt your feelings, and I don't have any ill feeling towards you. For what it's worth I'll be honest and say that I feel bad about writing what I wrote. Music is a positive thing no matter what, and people have different tastes..... but there's no point in trying to put people down for doing their own thing. I think your message is a good reminder to me to keep things on a positive note. Also, as for the southerner thing, that's just silly.... we all grew up in the most backwater part of PA. you can imagine, which is often (derisively) compared to the south, which I find to be pretty fucked up. I've always really enjoyed all of our trips to the south, and have the found the people and atmosphere to be really awesome.
I actually could say some good things about your band, too, but I guess I was just going on a stupid tangent or whatever. It was a long time ago that I wrote that, I don't remember everything I was thinking. I think I was on some trip about how I ought to try to be more negative in describing bands sometimes, since I didn't want to be too positive all the time, which, in hindsight, is pretty fucktarded.
Anyways, I think your the one who is "in the right" here, and so I appreciate you writing. Sometimes it's good to realize that one has been a shithead, so that one can make better decisions in the future. I think you guys should keep on doing your thing (I'm sure you will) and say fuck it to anyone who doesn't get it.
Alright. Enough from me.
peace,
*justin*
